Donating your time is a great way to support The Children's Society whilst learning and sharing new skills. Volunteering for charity also looks great on a CV!
We’re always keen to recruit volunteers for our Walk & Explore events and there are loads of different ways you can get involved, from promoting the event to your local community to handing out medals, face-painting and marshalling the route.
To ensure you are well prepared for the day, we will give you:
- Induction and training to help you in your role
- Supervision, support and flexibility for the jobs you want to do
- Reasonable travel expenses to and from the venue will be refunded
- Lunch
All volunteers will also receive a goody bag, references on request and fantastic memories from the day!

We always aim to ensure you won’t be doing the same job all day, so please tell us what roles interest you most and we’ll do our best to ensure you get a mixture of all of them.
