We believe that every child deserves a good childhood
The Children's Society is committed to helping those children who face the greatest danger, discrimination or disadvantage in their daily lives. Through our pioneering work, we help thousands of children and their families every year to ensure they enjoy the childhood they deserve.
Our major areas of work include:
- Working with children who are forced to run away from home or care - protecting them from abuse, crime and prostitution on the street
- Supporting children in trouble with the law - guiding them away from a cycle of crime and custody
- Ensuring disabled children have a voice and are given the choices that other children enjoy
- Helping refugee children rebuild their lives in new communities, surrounded and supported by friends.
- We are also expanding our work with young carers, traveller children and children whose parents misuse alcohol or drugs.
The money our supporters raise through the Walk & Explore Series provides an important source of income for us to continue our vital work. Every penny you raise can make a real difference to a child who needs our support.
