Join us on a three day adventure, sailing some 150/200 miles across the Channel to Cherbourg.
Hoist the sails, take the helm, grind the winches of these 65ft Round the World Race winning yachts.
Sponsorship inclusive of all meals and drinks whilst on board, wet weather gear and of course on board accommodation. It also includes organised bike ride and picnic on Alderney. However, please note evening meal on land (day 2) will cost extra.
No previous sailing experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
- Day 1 - Arrive 0900 Portsmouth for a half day of intensive practical and theoretical training in our RYA [Royal Yachting Association] school in Portsmouth. Lunch, and then depart that afternoon for Cherbourg.
- Day 2 - Arrive early morning. Moor up in Cherbourg for some rest and the option of a quick shop for French delicacies. Prepare lunch and depart for Alderney off the Cherbourg peninsular, arrive Alderney early evening and have a meal ashore.
- Day 3 - Have a lie in and late breakfast, then pick up a bike and cycle the island with picnic on the way round, get back to the yachts late afternoon. Prepare yachts and depart late evening.
- Day 4 - Arrive Gunwharf Quay, Portsmouth early afternoon, clean yachts, debrief, unload supplies and head home.
