Providing grants for local community projects
Ecclesiastical Insurance and The Children Society are working together on the exciting initiative of providing grants for local community projects from Good Childhood Conversations. These are community events that bring adults together to discuss the issues young people face in their communities. Ecclesiastical is a long term valued supporter of The Children’s Society and support the change needed to make childhood better in the local community.
The Good Childhood Conversation gives adults the opportunity to talk about the issues facing children today and how childhood can be improved in their locality. Everyone can take responsibility and make a postive difference. Now that you have had a chance to be part of a conversation you may have ideas for action and just need something to get it started.
Ecclesiastical has set up a pot of money to help you do just that, to grow your ideas and to help kickstart change in your community. The grants support new activities that benefit children, young people and families within the community hosting the Conversation.
Grants awarded so far have included projects such as a holiday club, a family week of events, a volunteer project and a skill swap shop.
