Support our special appeal for runaway children in danger

We do everything we can to support as many young people and children as possible who run away from home or care every year.

But with one in twelve runaway children hurt or physically harmed while on the street, they are more at risk of abuse than ever.

You can hear Simon Cottingham from our Safe in the City project in Birmingham talk to us about our specialist projects for runaway children.

In this letter from one of our project workers you can read more about Jess’ experience, and the important role her project workers played in transforming her life.

  • identify the help they need
  • create an individual plan of intensive one-to-one support
  • work through the issues that drove them to running away in the first place
  • provide a reliable, stable adult in their life
