Planning your event
Here are a few easy steps to planning a coffee morning:
Before your event
- Pick your date. Choose any time that suits you best.
- Choose a venue. You could hold your coffee morning at home, in your local church hall, at your workplace - it's completely up to you!
- Decide who to invite. Family, neighbours, colleagues - the more the merrier. Maybe ask everyone to bring one other person. Our invitations and posters will help you to advertise your event. The A4 posters can be displayed in your window at home, in local shops or maybe at church.
- Get your local media involved. Want to get the whole community involved? With our easy Write your own press release guide, you can get the local media attention you need to promote a successful coffee morning event.
- Order your free fundraising materials. We have plenty of free materials to support your coffee morning.
- Read our fundraising tips. We have put together some ideas to help you raise as much money as possible for disadvantaged children.
- Gather provisions. Don't forget to buy everything you need for your event. Coffee, tea, cups, spoons, sugar, milk, cakes etc. Keep an eye out for the Fairtrade options available in your local supermarket and make your coffee morning support children and the community on a global scale.
