Manage a collection box list

If you'd like to do a little bit more, why not consider asking your friends or family to take a collection box too? We’d ask you to:

• hand out boxes to friends, family and church members and encourage them to donate to it regularly
• advertise in your parish newsletter
• build strong relationships with your box holders and keep them up to date with our work
• collect and bank the proceeds once a year. You could even organise a get-together or coffee morning for your box holders.

Is it for you?

Handing out collection boxes is an easy and enjoyable way to make new friends within your local community. This would be the perfect role for someone who:

• would enjoy volunteering for The Children's Society for several years but would prefer to be flexible about how they organise their time
• is pro-active and enjoys working with minimal supervision
• has a warm and friendly personality, and enjoys meeting new people and working as part of a team
• is good with numbers
