DavpackWe have partnered up with packaging supplies company Davpack to create a new online resource for primary schools to help children deal with their problems in the shape of ‘Barry the Box.’

Barry the Box

‘Barry the Box’ is a free primary school resource that features a classroom exercise that will help seven to 11-year-olds imagine a character with different problems.

Through it, teachers can help children explore different situations, issues and help them understand how to cope with their problems better and realise they don’t have to face them alone.

'Barry the Box' compliments our online Key Stage 2 Schools resource My Life 4 Schools, which helps teachers educate children about emotional development.

Schools are being asked to encourage pupils to enter their own poster designs showing Barry solving his problems. Fun prizes can be won, including vouchers for family days out and cinema tokens.

What else?

Davpack have also designed a fantastic range of special Christmas boxes that will go on national sale this Christmas that will help raise funds for us by a percentage of all sales coming to us.

What can you do?

Help us to raise the first £1,000 today. All you have to do is like, +1, follow and share this page. For each of the first 10,000 social media endorsements Davpack will donate 10p to us.

Davpack’s Managing Director Barney Byfield said: 'We are delighted to announce our support for The Children’s Society, and this joint project helps them to reach out to children across the UK. With the Barry the Box activity, we are getting the important message across to children that when they are faced with worries on all sides, they don’t have to face them alone.'
