Adults and practitioners

The Children's Society in Nottingham's Stars National Initiative is a hub of information, support and guidance on parental drug and alcohol misuse, and the impact it has upon children and families.

We provide a wide range of support, including:

• our 'Ask about me' DVD 
• our You are not on your own booklet
• additional tools for practitioners
• conferences and training events
• collections of email newsletters and useful websites

Through our work we promote the voices of children and young people, seek to influence policy and practice, and undertake training and consultancy work.

We also have helped produce two key reports and collections of data, the Family Life project and the Swept under the carpet report.
