The Include service is home to the national young carers’ initiative reaching out to young carers within all communities.
Within this work we recognise that many young carers are facing multiple disadvantage and complex issues including those from refugee and migrant communities. Many of these young people become young carers as a direct result of their families’ experiences of forced migration and flight from war and persecution which impact upon their own wellbeing.
The Include Service is working nationally to provide information and advice about the needs of these young people and promote their inclusion within services in a position to support them; including adults and children’s service providers, health agencies, schools and policy makers.
