Outreach Team
What we do
The Outreach Team is responsible for delivering a programme of drug and alcohol work, including education and prevention through workshops, street work and group work, one off structured sessions, drop-ins and other ongoing programmes.
We also work with targeted groups of young people, such as identified groups of users and marginalised groups. A main function of the team is to develop the referral pathways and build communications with external agencies and young people.
How we do it
The Outreach Team is structured geographically, with workers based in north, south, west and mid Essex. Team members are responsible for identifying and delivering locality based provision.
Our partnerships
The majority of the groups we work with are young people who are already at risk of social exclusion, either from education, family or other established support networks and service. Our team works alongside a number of other agencies, groups and projects in doing this, including:
- youth groups
- alternative education
- family centres
- young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- E2E – entry to employment
- student support units/learner support units
- community projects
- summer projects
- Connexions
- children's support service.
