Honiton Children's centre provides a range of activities and resources for local families
Centre leader: Vikki Raymond
Honiton Children’s Centre serves an area of over 850 children in the villages of Offwell, Awliscombe, Upottery, Stockland, Broadhembury, Dunkeswell and Farway, as well as in Honiton itself.
Honiton Children's Centre is based at two sites in Honiton, one on Honiton Bottom Road and one next to Honiton Primary School at Clapper Lane.
The centre provides a range of activities and resources for local families. We offer somewhere for them to meet, play with their children and learn together. Families can come to us for support and advice on any aspect of family life and get information on health, child development, parenting and education as well as employment, housing and finance. Our main focus is on young children from 0 to 5 years but we also have programmes to support parents.

Free childcare for eligible 2-year-olds
Your two year old could be eligible for free early education and childcare. This funding is based on your child's circumstances or your family income. If your child is eligible, Devon County Council will send you a Golden Ticket which you can use to access the free childcare. The scheme helps improve children's learning and development, gives them the chance to make new friends and have lots of fun in an approved childcare setting such as a nursery, preschool or with a childminder. Your child is eligible if the family is receiving certain benefits, has a household income under £16,190, or if your child has a disability, special educational need or if they are adopted or placed under a residency order. To find out more, or check if your child may be eligible, please visit the Devon council website or call 0345 155 1013.
Information for parents of children with special educational needs
A website providing information about the provision available across Education, Health and Social Care for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), including those without an Education, Health and Care Plan, can be found on the Devon Council website.
