Wellington Children's Centre
Location
Centre manager: Penny Bragg
Wellington Children's Centre, opened in June 2007, serves Wellington, Rockwell Green and surrounding villages. It is based to the north of the town, and has a private childcare provider on site - bouncy bear childcare which offers a 24-place day care provision. The Children’s Centre provides support to the under fives and their families in the catchment area.
Groups offered include PEEP programmes, groups for breastfeeding mums, young parents, dads group and ‘Bump to Babe’. The Centre holds a healthy child clinic on a weekly basis run by health visitors and staff from the centre.
The centre also offers outreach groups to surrounding villages within the reach which are very popular and well supported. In order to ensure we work in partnership with families, we invite parents to join our advisory board and parents’ forum where they can express their views on the service we provide and make suggestions of how they feel it can be improved.
