The Nest Children’s Centre, is a Surestart centre run by The Children's Society. We offer services and activities for families and carers with children aged 0-5.
The centre is open for advice and information on Monday and Thursday 9am – 12.30pm and Tuesday and Wednesday 9am – 4pm. However the centre staff can be contacted via telephone or email Monday –Friday 9am – 5pm.
We offer a variety of activities at the centre and out in the community and can also provide support to other groups within the community and home visits where appropriate.
The range of activities we currently offer include:
- Weigh and Stay session in conjunction with the Child Health Clinic
- Baby café for Under 1s
- Stay and Play for 0-5’s
- Regular contact with local pre schools
- Toddler fun and baby Bbunce at Hedge End library (in conjunction with Hop-a-Long
- Children’s Centre)
- Smiley Saturdays, Stay and Play for families with children with additional needs (in conjunction with Hop-a-Long Children’s Centre)
Other activities can include:
- Child first aid courses for parents
- Healthy eating Programmes
- Parenting workshops
- Summer activities including picnics, walks and sports days
