Bishops Lydeard Children's Centre
Location
Centre manager: Penny Bragg
Bishops Lydeard Children’s Centre is a relatively new centre, having only opened in July 2010. It is set in the heart of the village, next to the village hall. It provides support for the under fives and their families both in Bishops Lydeard and the surrounding villages.
Groups offered include drop-ins, dad’s groups, Bump 2 Baby (which offers help to both pregnant and new mums), and a healthy child clinic where parents can see a health visitor. Centre staff also help deliver the baby weighing clinic in the neighbouring village of Cotford St. Luke, which has a growing population of young families.
In order to ensure we work in partnership with families, we invite parents to join both the advisory board and the parents forum so that they can express their views and make suggestions on how they feel we could improve our service.
