The Children's Society's Stars National Initiative is a hub of information, guidance and resources on parental drug and alcohol misuse, and the impact it has upon children and families.
Through our work we promote the voices of children and young people, seek to influence policy and practice, and undertake training and consultancy work.
Our aims are to:
Enable the voices of children, young people and families affected by parental drug and alcohol misuse to be heard.
Assist in increasing the capacity of all those working with children, young people and families affected by parental drug and alcohol abuse to recognise and respond to their needs, and promote good practice and information on existing provision and support.
- Inform and shape the development of policy and practice around the support for children, young people and families affected by parental drug and alcohol misuse and to raise awareness of this issue.
The Stars project now has it's own website, offering a wide range of resources and up to date news and information. Please visit http://www.starsnationalinitiative.org.uk/.
