We are committed to fighting childhood poverty, harm and neglect. The most disadvantaged children rarely suffer on just one front. At The Children's Society, we work directly with these children, many of whom have nowhere else to turn.
More than 40 local authorities have chosen us to help deliver their services. Our network of programmes includes drop-in services for runaways, as well as children’s centres and support for young carers. We support children who are refugees from violence, and we give those in care a voice.
We transform the lives of many more children by pressurising government and local authorities to change policy and practice to protect them, and we challenge the negative attitudes that perpetuate harm and injustice.
We transform the lives of more than 44,000 children and young people each year and in partnership with children's services' commissioners.
We are collaborating with Xenzone to provide a blended digital and face-to-face solution to transform mental health services for vulnerable children and young people aged up to 25
Our latest commission is a training package for the Department of Health. The training will reach more than 650,000 healthcare professionals, to make sure they know the signs of child sexual abuse and have the confidence to step in and stop it.
