The Children’s Society manages children’s centre services for families in Croft, Eldene, Salt Way and Robert Le Kyng areas. Our goal is to give your child the best start in life. We aim to keep children healthy and safe, to help them enjoy and achieve things through learning, and to grow up making a positive contribution to life.

An update on services

Swindon Borough Council began a consultation in July 2013 on proposed changes to all the children’s centres in Swindon. Meetings for families took place during July and August. The consultation affected the four Children’s Society’s children’s centres in Swindon including: Eldene, Croft, Robert Le Kyng and Salt Way. Decisions were made to form clusters of children’s centres in the town and also to change the way that funding to children’s centres is allocated.

As a result, both the Croft and Eldene buildings will no longer operate as The Children’s Society’s children’s centre bases and we will be providing services to these two communities out of other local community premises.
