Salt Way Children's Centre is funded by Sure Start. At Salt Way we offer a one-stop shop of services for all families with children living in Shaw, Prinnels, Nine Elms, Middleleaze, Ramleaze, Peatmoor, Eastleaze and Grange Park.
Our aim is to support families to give their children the best start in life, by improving health, education and quality of life.Everybody is welcome to use the children’s centre. We are committed to equality for all people irrespective of race, disability, culture, gender or sexuality.
All parents/carers, guardians, grandparents, childminders, foster parents and nannies, in fact anyone who looks after children of 0-5 years can use the centre. We have access to:
- health visitors
- doctors
- dentists
- midwives
- affordable childcare
- family information services
- breast feeding support groups
- Journeys 2 Work – a training and employment advice service.
By consulting with parents we have been able to produce a yearly planner of activities that they have requested. This has included a range of workshops such as our cooking on a budget workshop and our family finance workshop.
