Ryde Children's Centre
Location
Centre manager: Claire Steen
Ryde Children's Centre believes every child matters and aims to improve outcomes for children and their families. We deliver services from our building (at the rear of the Baptist church on George Street), in the home and out in the community from parent and toddler groups.
Ryde Children's Centre was originally part of a local SureStart programme which piloted projects to support children and families within the Ryde area. The centre has now established services to meet the needs of the wider community from Ryde through to Bembridge and works in partnership with other agencies to deliver support to families with children under five years old.
Services include childcare whilst parents attend courses or training, advice and support for feeding, child development and parenting as well as opportunities to increase employment prospects and take an active role in influencing service development.
