Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in the African refugee community in Newcastle

This research, developed by the Young Refugees Newcastle project in collaboration with ACANE (African Advice North East) and the Safeguarding Children Board of Newcastle, examines differences in child rearing practices in the African Refugee Community, and dominant concepts about safeguarding children practices in the refugee communities, in order to inform policy and practice in this respect.
