NICE Public Health guidance on Mental Wellbeing of Young People in Secondary Education

The Children's Society's response to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) consultation on Mental Wellbeing of Young People in Secondary Education. NICE have been tasked by the Department of Health to produce guidance on public health interventions aimed at promoting the mental well-being of children in secondary education. The guidance will support related National Service Frameworks and complement existing national initiatives such as the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning Programme and the Health Schools Programme. It will produce recommendations for good practice and is aimed at all working with 11-18 year olds who have public health within their remit including schools, health services and the voluntary sector.
