In their contributions to The Good Childhood Inquiry, many people commented that some of their happiest childhood memories included going on picnics and playing outdoors. The Children's Society is inviting you to make some happy memories with your family by holding a picnic for childhood.

Picnics are fun, easy to organise and something everyone can enjoy. What better way to spend a summer’s day while enjoying time with your family and friends than to have a picnic? It couldn’t be easier - all you need is a patch of grass or a picnic bench, some sandwiches and snacks and a desire to have fun.

So, pick a date and get your family and friends to help you pack up your picnic hamper, invite a few friends and give your children a great day out by celebrating National Picnic Week with The Children’s Society.
