Song inspired by The Children's Society hits YouTube!

17 December 2009

One Friend, a musical collaboration inspired by The Children's Society, has hit YouTube!

One Friend’s song, ‘The Little Orphan Boy’, is now on the front page of our YouTube channel.

The band was formed by two young musicians, Robin Lindop Fisher, a student at the University of York, and David, a young disabled person from York,

The two met through The Children's Society’s PACT Project in York, a project run by The Children's Society that links up students with disabled young people in and around York.

Through their work One Friend address the issues important to young people such as friendship and family - and how important these are in both good times and bad. They hope to raise awareness and promote a positive image of disability, and show that disability doesn't need to prevent you from enjoying yourself and being a young achiever!
