SCARPA Squad wins People's Millions

29 November 2010

Thanks to the huge efforts from all our supporters we are delighted to announce that The Children’s Society SCARPA Project has won funding from the People’s Millions money to set up The SCARPA Squad. The exciting new initiative will help prevent young people going missing.

The people that young people often listen to most are other young people, so by getting funding The Children’s Society can train young people who have been through this traumatic experience to help other young people.

The SCARPA Squad would like to thank everyone who took the time and effort to vote. This funding will make a huge difference to hundreds of young people and help make their childhood better.

Young people in the SCARPA Squad will be playing a key role by also influencing groups like, social services, the police and teachers about the best ways to help these young people.

What is The People’s Millions?
