New initiative to help hundreds of young people to stop going missing urgently needs your support

19 November 2010

The Children’s Society SCARPA Project is appealing for funding from the People’s Millions money to set up The SCARPA Squad. The exciting new initiative will help prevent young people going missing.

The people that young people often listen to most are other young people, so by getting funding The Children’s Society can train young people who have been through this to help other young people.

Young people in the SCARPA Squad will be playing a key role by also influencing groups like, social services, the police and teachers about the best ways to help these young people - this is why the SCARPA Squad could make such a massive difference.

Tyne Tees TV will be airing a two-minute appeal on 25 November at 6pm. The number to cast your vote will be published in the Daily Mirror or live on the website from 9am on that day.

Please vote SCARPA Squad, your support will help hundreds of young people to stop going missing
