On 2 February 2009, Penguin will publish the culmination of over two years independent study into what makes a good childhood. The Inquiry was chaired by a panel of experts from across different sectors, offering their expertise.
Written by Richard Layard (author of Happiness) and Judy Dunn (Children’s Friendships: The Beginnings of Intimacy) the book will examine key themes and encourage debate across the nation. Easily accessible, we hope the content will appeal to everyone and inspire him or her to take a look at their own relationships with children. Available on line or at your local bookshop, find out what everyone will be talking about throughout February and beyond.
The aim of the Inquiry was to help improve the lives of children and young people in the UK today. We’re already working hard to make childhood better for thousands of children. Keep up to date with our work in 2009 and our recommendations for what makes a good childhood.
