Where it's map: Dynamic maps on our website and elsewhere
If you've spent much time on our blog, you might have noticed that we like maps.
We've run maps of:
- athletes' running and cycling routes
- financial assistance schemes across the UK
- the numbers of children in poverty
- the numbers of children in poverty missing out on free school meals
This has been a big week for maps. The biggest pieces of news come from Google - their new, more powerful version of Google Maps is now the default view for all users (it had been accessible, in 'preview' mode). Google also announced a phone that creates 3D maps of the space around it. Global Forest Watch also launched a map of deforestation across the world.
Please have a look at the links above. Also, be sure to check our blog next week in March, when we'll launch a new, UK-wide map. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be informed of the new map's launch.
