Our chief executive welcomes you to Volunteers' Week

Today is the start of national Volunteers' Week and on behalf of our entire organisation, we would like to thank every single person who volunteers their time to support children, young people and families across the country.

It gives me great pleasure to be able to say 'thank you' to every single volunteer. Without you we simply couldn’t change the lives of the children and families that need us most. Thank you.

In the past year our volunteers have contributed huge amounts to our mission of supporting the most disadvantaged children, young people and families. From volunteering in one of our shops, supporting fundraising in the community or directly volunteering to support a child or family, we could not continue to deliver the essential services we do without our inspirational volunteers.

Over the seven days of Volunteers' Week, we will feature a wide programme of activities and events to celebrate volunteers' contributions. This includes social media activity, afternoon tea events, and regular posts on our blog - all with the intention of showing our volunteers how much we value your incredible commitment and support.

Please watch this video, which kick-starts Volunteers' Week and contains all the information you need about volunteering to support our work.
