'It gives everyone the power to transform a young person's life'
While Christmas is still a little way off, we're making plans to ensure some of the most vulnerable children don’t miss out on gifts. Next week we’re launching a crowdfunding project to raise £1500 to buy Christmas presents for the children and young people we support across the country.
Many of these children and young people come from families who have very little income and cannot afford to buy presents.
As displayed in our video, Gillian Claugher, our Director of Regional Fundraising, explains how a trip to a regional programme inspired the formation of the wish list project.
What you can do
This is our first crowdfunding project, which is a way of bringing lots of people together online to raise money for a good cause.
When the project launches on Monday, we need you to join in and invite your family and friends to do the same.
Details about our crowdfunding project
By raising the money through the Crowdfunder website we will be able to buy gifts for the children who need them the most.
In return for making a pledge, you will receive one of five rewards, depending on how much you donate. You might get your name in digital lights or receive a personalised thank you.
Our target is £1500 and the project will run for six weeks.
Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook for news of when the project is live on Monday, 28 October.
