Happy Easter from The Children's Society

We hope you have had an opportunity to reflect on the Lent blogs taking us through different aspects of poverty.

Perhaps you have used the BenevoLent app to help stay focussed on your Lenten sacrifice. As we celebrate, it is worth taking a moment to remember that hundreds of thousands of children in this country are now forced to depend on food banks; that 400,000 households a month are being forced to take out payday loans to pay for food and other essentials. These are real people who have had no choice about the sacrifices they make.

At Easter we remember the sacrifice that Jesus made to conquer the desolation of the cross with the hope of resurrection. We value all that you do to help us alleviate despair and ask you to join us this Eastertime to pray that the gift of hope will be made real for all families and children.
