Learn more about The Debt Trap, our campaign to end debt's damaging effects on children.
This year is the 30th anniversary of Volunteers' Week, the annual nationwide celebration of the incredible contribution volunteers make to this country.
Every single day our tens of thousands of volunteers and supporters help our work in hundreds of different ways.
In recognition of the 30th anniversary of Volunteers' Week, we have compiled a range of these actions that you and those around you can take to support our work, all within timeframes of 30, all making a difference. Today we present what you can do with 30 days. (Also see what you can do in 30 seconds, 30 minutes and 30 hours.)
Volunteer in your local Children’s Society shop
If you are a people person and have even a few hours a week available then why not consider becoming a volunteer in one of our charity shops that bring in millions of pounds each year to support vulnerable children.
You’ll join a friendly team, get great customer service and retail experience and help to ensure our customers learn more about the work that we do.

Host a Big Summer DO for children
Help us to bring back childhood this summer and host a Big Summer DO.
The Big Summer DO is all about getting together with friends, family and your community and enjoying all that makes up a traditional, fun, childhood summer – from sharing food to playing outdoors.
It may be a garden party with local bands and a sizzling BBQ or an old-fashioned picnic party with all the family. Your Big Summer DO planning guide, free resources and support are ready for you.
