Have you made a New Year's resolution to get fit in 2013? You can burn off those extra mince pies and support The Children's Society at the same time with our fundraising activities and events.

We have ‘gold bond’ charity places available in the following events:

The London Virgin Marathon - 21 April 2013

Please join our team running the biggest marathon in the UK, across London to Greenwich and back.

Bupa London 10,000 - 27 May 2013

If the marathon seems too big a challenge, why not sign up for London's biggest 10k? The route starts and finishes in St. James’s Park and takes you past many of the city's most famous sights.

RideLondon 100 - 4 August 2013

Cycle this fantastic course, based on the 2012 Olympic road race, leaving from Olympic Park and travelling across the city.

VIP Treatment

We understand the commitment given by all of our runners so that is why we provide all members of our running team with first class support throughout their challenge, including:

  • sponsorship pack with running vest
  • fundraising resources
  • training advice
  • invitations to post-race parties where applicable
  • ongoing contact via a regular newsletter
  • telephone support

Your support

Each year, over 20,000 supporters give their time to raise over £5 million for The Children's Society. Keep an eye on the events and activities page of our website, which we'll be updating throughout the year, for more exciting and energetic ways to support our work and make a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable children.
