Children, young people invited to design The Right Year for Children logo
Children and young people are encouraged to create a logo to promote a year of events supporting The Right Year for Children.
The Right Year for Children is a year of events marking the twentieth anniversary of the UK government ratifying the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
All logos must be submitted by 8pm on Sunday 23 October, and winners will be announced on 7 November. Visit the Children's Rights Alliance for England's website for complete contest rules.
Organisations working with children and young people, including the government and local councils, will be encouraged to use the logo as part of their work and commitment to promote and protect children’s rights.
Promoting children's rights
The Children's Society has joined forces with children and young people’s charities, voluntary organisations and statutory bodies for a year of action to seek greater recognition of the UNCRC and to press for its systematic use and implementation across all areas of children’s lives.
To find out how your group or organisation may become a supporter or partner of The Right Year for Children, please contact Denise Malcolm at the Office of Children's Commissioner.
