19 July 2007

Emmerdale star and Iggy Pop fan Lucy Pargeter has lent her full support to the forthcoming Children's Society mini-festival 'Rock The House Live' in Leeds on 31 August.

‘Soapstar Superstar’ Lucy, who plays Chastity Dingle in the long running soap, can barely contain her excitement at Iggy Pop headlining an event so close to home!

'I love Iggy Pop, he's a real rock n' roll legend. I think it’s great he’s coming to play Leeds in support of The Children’s Society, it's such a good cause.'

Currently, the line up includes Iggy and The Stooges; Idlewild; The Sunshine Underground; Sons & Daughters and The Horrors. More bands are due to follow soon. Lucy adds: 'Rock The House has a fantastic line-up and I’ll certainly be there - what self respecting rock-chick wouldn't?!'

'The Children's Society Rock the House Live' gig will take place at the Harewood House mansion in Leeds with tickets costing £26 each*. The event will cover a large area of the grounds offering an eclectic mix of opulence with Rock and Roll. Tickets are selling fast so fans are urged to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment.
