20 July 2007
Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine is lending her full support to the forthcoming mini-festival 'Rock The House' featuring Iggy and the Stooges in Leeds on the 31st August in aid of The Children's Society.

Jennie said: 'Rock The House is a great event. Having Iggy & The Stooges live in Leeds is a perfect way to bring the summer to a close. They'll be raising the roof of Harewood House whilst helping to raise money for The Children's Society.'
Currently, the line up includes Iggy and The Stooges; Idlewild; The Sunshine Underground; Sons & Daughters and The Horrors. More bands are due to follow soon.
The 'Rock the House' gig takes place at Harewood House mansion in Leeds with tickets costing £26 each*. The event will cover a large area of the grounds offering an eclectic mix of opulence with Rock and Roll. Tickets are selling fast so fans are urged to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment.
