The Significances Of Christingle Advent Video

Today we continue the second week of Advent, focusing on the theme 'A child shall lead them' and Isaiah 11.1-10.

Journalist Gamal Fahnbulleh narrates our video about the thousands of churches and schools celebrating Christingle services this year as part of their fundraising for our work. Their essential giving enables us to meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable children in our society.

Gamal: ‘I’m glad to be supporting The Children’s Society and the Christingle campaign’

Please watch this short film and reflect on the related questions.

Questions for reflection

As Christians we are called to love. Love is an emotion and an action which needs to be expressed. How might you express the love of Jesus in the world around you? Today, 3.6 million children are living in poverty in this country.

How did you react to that statistic?

What might you do to make a difference to their lives?

Really enjoyed this - very clear explanation of the Christingle's significance which will form the basis of my Christingle talks. Am planning to get it embedded on my church web site in advance of our Christingle services. Thank you.
