The Children's Society organises a wide range of non-fundraising events from conferences, seminars and forums to open days, product launches and showcases of our work for professionals and partners.

We regularly host seminars and briefings.

Tuesday 9 September: YMCA England’s Children and Families Conference – Our Chief Executive Matthew Reed will give the keynote speech.

Wednesday 8 October: ‘Slowing the merry-go-round: Effective interventions with families who experience successive removals of children’ – Conference being chaired by Jo Manning, National Lead Substance Misuse, The Children’s Society in Nottingham

Friday 12 September: CYP Now conference on ‘Early intervention: policy and practice’. Our Chief Executive, Matthew Reed, will be one of the speakers.

Wednesday 29 October: Our Chief Executive Matthew Reed will hold a briefing meeting at DLA Piper. By invitation only.

Open days, launches and showcases

Our open days, product launches and showcases provide an opportunity for professionals to see how we work directly with children and young people.

Partnership events

Our partnership events offer professionals and supporters the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of events organised jointly with key partners and other organisations.

Friday 22 August to Monday 25 August: Greenbelt Festival - it’s the fourth year we’re involved with this Christian-based music and arts festival, let’s make it a good one!

Exhibitions and trade shows

We are frequently out and about at specialist trade shows and exhibitions meeting commissioners of children’s services, social workers and practitioners.
