We are running an exciting new project exploring the experiences of young carers. Funded by the Big Lottery, we are seeking to understand more about how to support those young carers least likely to be identified or reaching the support they need.

Young carers are young people who have significant caring responsibilities at home as a result of a family member’s illness or disability.

Our project is looking to interview young carers and their families living in London, Manchester, Bristol or Birmingham who are in the following categories:

  • younger than 10 years old
  • 18-25 years old
  • are from a black, Asian or minority ethnic (BME) group

Set up your interview

If you would like more information on this exciting new project, then please contact Sarah Wayman by email or telephone, 07713 101 602.

We are interviewing young people and their families about their lives, and any support they need. All participants will be given a £15 high street voucher as thanks for their time and involvement.

We will use the information we gather to inform our work to make lives better for the thousands of young carers in England who may not be benefitting from access to the services and support that they need.
