Help put a stop to age discrimination

22 August 2008

Young Equals Day of Action

What's it all about?

Young Equals Day of Action is an opportunity for you and your friends to help put a stop to age discrimination. Young Equals is a group of charities campaigning to get legal protection from age discrimination for children and young people.

On Thursday 28 August we are holding a day of action to gather evidence of age discrimination. Join other young people across the country to gather evidence of unfair treatment you experience or see happen to other kids because of your age.

What will happen with the evidence you give?

The evidence gathered on the day will be sent to the Government and form an important part of the campaign.

Ideas of what you can do if you experience or witness unfair treatment because of your age:

1) Keep a diary
2) Take photographs or videos of the unfair treatment.
3) Take photographs of signs that stop children and young people using services or public spaces
