Young people in trouble with the police

When kids and teenagers get into trouble with the police, it might be because they are unhappy, upset, or are having trouble at home or school.

We help them to stay out of jail, to say sorry to the people they have hurt and to work through their problems, to lead them away from a life of crime.

We also fight for their rights and help society to understand that young people should be treated as children, not hard criminals.

"I smashed this guy's car so The Children's Society set up a meeting with him and we decided that I would pay him for the damages, which meant I didn’t need to go to court."
