Do you need help?

If there is something that's upsetting you, or perhaps you're worried about a friend who's hurt or upset, remember that there's nothing that's so bad that you can't talk about it.

Think about someone who you like and trust to talk to, maybe your parent or carer, aunt, uncle or grandparent. Perhaps a teacher or youth worker. Sometimes it will make you feel better just talking to someone about it, but if there is something that needs to change to make things better, then they should be able to help with that too.

There is also a national telephone line called Childline, which you can call for free and speak to someone who'll listen to whatever you want to say, but will promise not to tell anyone else. Call them on 0800 11 11.

If you or a friend are being really badly hurt, or feel you are in danger, then it is really important that you tell someone who will listen to you and who can make sure you are safe. You could tell your parent, carer, teacher or another adult who you trust. The police are there to protect you from danger and people who might hurt you, so you could tell them. You could also talk to someone at your local Social Services or Children's Services Department at your local Council.

Cool stuff for you
