In 2006, The Children's Society started an investigation about what makes a good childhood. Thank you to everyone who participated in our inquiry.
Over 10,000 children and young people provided us with ‘evidence’ (opinions, thoughts, pictures and suggestions), which was considered by our panel of experts to help them decide what makes a good childhood. They discussed the evidence, read a lot of research and wrote a book about what makes a good childhood.
What the experts found
We've collected lots of thoughts and ideas from kids, teenagers and adults so we can learn what makes for a good life for children and young people in the UK.
