- Guess my finish time - taking part in a marathon or sporting challenge? Ask everyone you know to guess how long it will take you to cross that finish line.
- Bring and buy sale - get everyone at work, school or your friends to ‘bring and buy’ for some bargains.
- Swear-box - place a box near you or dot them around the office and your home. Pop some silver in every time someone slips up.
- Pamper party - invite the girls over, have the mudpacks, nail polish and wine ready.
- Who’s the baby? - get the office to bring in photos of themselves as babies and children and pay to guess who it is and a small prize for the winner.
- Quote quiz - write a quiz full of famous film quotations or song lyrics.
- Bingo evening - everyone loves bingo – set an evening aside and call out those numbers.
- Come dine with me - set up a series of dinner parties with your friends and collect the proceeds.
- Golf tournament - organise a game of golf or any sport, challenge, or tug of war.
- Guess the weight or how many sweets in a jar - pay to guess the correct weight or quantity of whatever you choose.
- Sweepstake for football league or reality TV show - place bets on who will win the latest reality show or sports league.
- Caption competition - choose a funny photo, whoever comes up with the best caption wins.
- Smarties tube - give a tube of Smarties to all of your friends – tell them to fill them up with coins.
- Flower/book sale - sell read books, flowers and plants.
- Car wash - get out the bucket and water, knock on doors and get washing.

- Christmas party/carol-singing - host a party, instead of gifts get donations or head for the streets and sing carols.

- Own clothes day/teachers in uniform - pupils love getting out of their uniform, and teachers will look funny in theirs.
- Sponsored run for pupils - gather a group of pupils, or the whole school, to collectively run your 10k, 13.1 or 26.2 miles and get sponsored.
- Pancake Day - Classic Flipper - Make a batch of batter and see who can make and toss the pancake in the quickest time - £3 entry. The losers have to do a forfeit of the winner’s choice.
- Rugby Six Nations - Simple sweepstake, £2 a go, winner wins beer/wine/chocolate.
- St Patrick’s Day - Get everyone in your office to come in wearing an item of green clothing. Fine those who don't £2.
- Darts Board 180 - Fancy yourself as a Darts Player? Challenge other colleagues to be the closest to hit 180 - £3 for three darts.
- Karaoke - Hold a karaoke night at your local pub, invite your friends, and bring your best singing voice. Charge an admission fee of £5 and raise money as well as profile. If your boss is unwilling to sing, try to raise a certain amount of money to encourage him/her to sing.
- Give it up - Give up your favourite alcoholic drink for a month (this will also help your training!) and see how much you raise.
