We’ve been delivering services from Exmouth and District Children’s Centre since 2007. We’re based at Moorfield Road next to Marpool Primary School.
Who uses the centre?
We work with families who live in Exmouth, Budleigh, Salterton and the surrounding villages and beyond. Everyone is welcome and any family with a child under five can use our services.
What happens at the centre?
Families can come to us for support and advice on any aspect of family life. We can share information on child development, parenting, and advice on how to stay safe and healthy.
Some of our services are open to all and some are provided to support with specific needs, check our timetable for details. Our services include antenatal , parenting programmes, one-to-one family support , counselling, physical activity sessions, stay and play sessions, bounce and rhyme, a group to support speech and language development, multiple-birth group, childminders’ sessions, a comprehensive breastfeeding support programme and lots more!
We have 18 members of staff who mostly work part time. We have a busy programme with activities like Bounce and Rhyme and Get Up and Go!
Our two children's centres work closely with a range of agencies including the Public Health Team, Social Care, Primary Schools and Early Years Settings, Speech and Language Therapy, family learning and a range of local organisations, such as Home Start, to provide a comprehensive service to families living in our reach area.
