Payroll giving is an easy, tax-free way for you to make a regular donation straight from your salary. The donation is taken before pay as you earn tax is calculated so you pay less and the tax man pays more. A gift of £10 per month only costs £8 if you pay the basic rate of tax or only £6 if you pay the higher rate of tax.
How can I donate through my salary?
Over 10,000 employers in the UK run a payroll giving scheme. If the company you work for already has a scheme, simply fill in our online payroll giving form, and that’s it, we will do the rest!
How does it benefit us?
Charity payroll donations provide regular and reliable income to fund our long-term projects working with disadvantaged children and young people.
How will it benefit your company?
Payroll giving is quick and easy to set up. It is a great way for your company to demonstrate commitment to charities that employees care about. It creates a good morale among staff by providing an easy and efficient way to give to charity.
If your company does not currently have a scheme, or for any queries at all please contact our Supporter Care team on 0300 303 7000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Children’s Society has recently won two awards at the National Payroll Giving Awards to reward the success of our payroll giving partnership with Ecclesiastical Insurance.
The new scheme saw participation rates soar from under 1% to over 8% of staff taking part.
