Liam's Christmas appeal - Make a life-changing difference to a child in care
Christmas can be extremely traumatic for children in care
Help us provide the support and stability they desperately need to start enjoying their childhood again
Children in care are some of the most vulnerable children in our communities. At Christmas time, they can feel more lonely and desperate than ever. They often wish they could spend time with their biological families, and feel like an outsider as their foster families celebrate the festive season.
This was how Liam felt last Christmas. Following the death of his mum, he lived with three different foster families in the space of a year.
Finally, as Christmas approached, he felt he had to get away. He ran away on Boxing Day and then twice again in January. But then he met Sally, one of our project workers, and things started to change.
