Prayers for The Children’s Society
Lord Jesus Christ
to whom this world and its history belong,
we give you thanks for the work of The Children’s Society,
a faithful witness to your command
that not one of your little ones should be lost.
Continue to stir up your gifts in us that
children in trouble with the law will know your justice,
children at risk on the streets may know your protection,
children who are refugees may know your welcome,
children who are disabled may know your freedom,
and all people may know the power of your Kingdom
where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever. Amen.
Heavenly Father,
give us the grace to serve you faithfully as The Children’s Society so that your children may enjoy the peace and justice of your Kingdom, where you live and reign with the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Heavenly Father,
your Son loved children so much that he said
whoever welcomes a child welcomes you.
Renew us in your Spirit
so that together we may build a world
where children and young people find a welcome
which befits Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
