Bearing Fruit – following up your event
Going out in the Spirit. There is real power behind the prayer leaf drawings and words which were prepared during your recent Leaves of Life event - a power that can be used to create positive change for all the children of your neighbourhood.
The prayer leaves give us the chance to continue the theme of new life, for, with and in our children's lives. Here are some ideas for further actions you could take:
- you could arrange to display your 'Tree of Life' in other venues, if you haven't already done so, such as the local school, library, doctors surgery, village hall etc
- try grouping the prayer leaves together into themes and meeting with your PCC to discuss your findings and possible ideas for your children's ministry
- arrange a follow up session in your children's group or school to discuss any solutions they would like to take forward, it is important to keep them at the heart of this initiative and act upon as much of their feedback as is possible
- share the good news of your Leaves of Life event with other parishes in the deanery and encourage them to get involved next year
