Leaves of Life - placing children's voices at the heart of worship

Jesus called on us to place children at the centre of our world. And, allied with the Church, we are determined to turn their vision for a good childhood into a reality. Leaves of Life has been specially developed to help you be a catalyst in making this happen. By taking part, and listening to the children in your community, we can build a better childhood for all in the UK.

What is Leaves of Life?

Leaves of Life is a fun and inspiring way to get children thinking about the Gospel message of new life and to link this to what makes a good childhood. It is an all age worship resource for churches, children's groups and schools that places children's voices at the heart of worship.

Leaves of Life involves:

  • Children writing or drawing their thoughts, reflections, hopes and prayers for a better childhood on prayer leaves
  • A celebration event where the leaves are fixed to a Tree of Life, giving adults the opportunity to reflect and act upon the children's voices

Why hold a Leaves of Life event?

Leaves of Life provides an opportunity for children to learn about the Gospel message of new life and to put their thoughts and prayers for a good childhood at the heart of worship.

The reflections, prayers and pictures children put on their leaves are a way to reach out to the wider community, bring people together, and be a catalyst to bring about change and make childhood better.

How do I get involved?

Leaves of Life is a FREE worship resource for churches, schools and children's groups and can be held at anytime throughout the year.
